Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM

Expo Ambassador

In 2025, Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM, joined us as the Ambassador for the 2025 Gold Coast Disability Expo.

Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM was the first quadriplegic medical intern in Queensland and the second person to graduate medical school with quadriplegia in Australia. Dinesh is a doctor, lawyer, disability advocate, and researcher.

Halfway through medical school, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident that caused a cervical spinal cord injury. As a result of his injury and experiences, Dinesh has been an advocate for inclusion. He is a founding member of Doctors with Disabilities Australia.

The 2026 Gold Coast Disability Expo Ambassador will be launched closer to the event.

The Gold Coast Disability Expo will link thousands of people with a disability with hundreds of product and service providers as well as presenting a range of informative and interactive presentations delivered by industry experts. People with Disability are embracing My Future, My Choice as a way to control how they want to live their lives now and plan for the future.
